ATTENTIVE SPIRIT, OPEN HEART
Discover the dignity inherent in life

Yin & Yang yoga and mindfulness with Detlev Alexander

for participants with previous experience

28 April 2018 from 10:00 to 13:00h and 14:00 to 17:00h in the AutostadtLounge 3/4

Since we often have the impression that something is missing in our experience, we have doubts about our own basic goodness as well as that of our fellow human beings. If we fail to value ourselves and humanity, we allow the current world and news situation to undermine our own dignity. On the other hand, if we develop our full potential, natural intelligence, warmth, and openness, we will no longer be put off or disheartened by obstacles and difficult emotions. Through our yoga practice, breathing exercises, and meditation, we learn to have confidence in our basic goodness and once again sense our inner value. We are completely healthy and full of human dignity. We gain confidence in the value of humanity itself. In Yang yoga, we move dynamically and rhythmically. We value strength, flexibility, and alignment of the body. In Yin yoga, we primarily address the muscles, bones, joints, connective tissue, and the energy channels known as meridians or nadis, which characterize our energy body. In doing so, we apply suitably gentle pressure to our connective tissues. This pressure has an uplifting and strengthening effect to stabilize the bone structure.

Detlev Alexander has been teaching Vinyasa Yoga, Yin Yoga, and mindfulness meditation for more than twelve years. In addition to regular courses, he offers workshops, retreats, and training. He lives and works in Berlin.
